ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Sophie Abt from Bedford, NY.

I’m a first-year student at Syracuse University exploring my passion for storytelling through a number of different ways.

​

This semester I am applying to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications as an Intra University Transfer applicant for Fall 2026 admission as a sophomore. 

​

I am very focused on learning and academic success! I attended Syracuse SummerStart in the Summer of 2025 to get a head start on credits and received a 4.0 GPA. I was also very proud to make the Dean's List in my First-Year Fall Semester 2025. 

​

I hope you enjoy some of my journalism articles and other digital PSA and news packages that I have developed here at Syracuse and at other publications. I have loved getting involved with Newhouse Clubs and other clubs on campus. I have lots of interests and I’m just getting started!

I’m always looking to collaborate on a new story, playlist or just going to puppy yoga!
