ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Sophie Abt from Bedford, NY.

I’m a sophomore Journalism major at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where I’m exploring my passion for storytelling through writing, digital media, radio, and multimedia journalism.

​

I’m passionate about learning and academic success. I attended Syracuse SummerStart in the summer of 2025 to get a head start on credits and finished the program with a 4.0 GPA. I was also proud to make the Dean’s List during my first-year fall semester.

I hope you enjoy some of my journalism articles and other digital PSA and news packages that I have developed here at Syracuse and at other publications. I have loved getting involved with Newhouse Clubs and other clubs on campus. I have lots of interests and I’m just getting started!

I’m always looking to collaborate on a new story, playlist or just going to puppy yoga!
